Court Orders Detention of Vehicles in Alleged 419 Case Linked to Senator Abdu Kwari

Proceedings continued today, March 30, 2026, at the High Court of Justice, Dogarawa in Zaria, Kaduna State, presided over by Justice Yakubu Badamasi, in the ongoing criminal trial involving Abdu Kwari, Hajiya Amina Dalhatu Akilu, and Shehu Abdu Kwari over allegations of fraud and criminal conspiracy. The case arose from a petition filed by a Zaria-based businessman, Ahmed Muhammad Gusau, who accused the defendants of fraudulently inducing him into a property exchange deal. According to the complainant, he surrendered his residential property located at No. 17 Sale Annur Street, Kabama Layout, Sabon Gari, Zaria, valued at ₦60 million, in exchange for a plot of land at No. 5 Abubakar Mustapha Road, Kabama Layout, allegedly owned by Senator Abdu Kwari and valued at ₦20 million. Dr.Abdullahi Dalhatu Aminu, Director General, National Institute of Public Health and Infectious Disease, Saye, Zaria gave the assurance at a sensitization campaign to commemorate this year's World TB day. Sallah: Kaduna Vigilante deploys 8,500 personnel in 23 LG's to curb crimes

A statement issued by Yunusa Shehu Ibrahim, Public Relations Officer of the service said the Commander, CP Ali Dabigi Audu psc (Rtd), said the deployment was part of coordinated effort to strengthen security and support the Nigeria Police Force and other agencies in maintaining law and order. According to the statement the operation also aims to ensure the safety of residents before, during, and after the sallah festival. From B.J Lord, Zaria  The city of Zaria came to a grinding halt on Saturday, March 14, 2026, as thousands of mourners gathered to bid farewell to the late Igwe (Sir) Unogu Vitus Ibeh KSM, JP, Eze Ndi-Igbo Zazzau,   The late Eze's burial ceremony, held at the Pastoral Center in Graceland, Sabon Gari, Zaria, drew a massive crowd of dignitaries, traditional leaders, and well-wishers from across Kaduna State and beyond.  Notable among the attendees were the representative of Kaduna State Government, the Zazzau Emirate Council, District head of Sabon gari, Security agents, Business and Commercial moguls and the Igbo communities across the country. Zazzau Emirate directs closure of main roads for sallah durbar

The directive conveyed by Abdullahi Aliyu Kwarbai, Media and Publicity Officer of the emirate and issued to newsmen in Zaria said the order is the first, second and third day of Sallah celebration. According to the statement, the emirate directed that "following the reconstruction work in Kofar doka, on the first day of Eid El fitr Sallah, the road leading to Mallam Musa Eid praying ground from Banzazzau, Anguwar kaya and Dakace will be closed from morning hours to allow for Eid prayer.
