ICA President-General describes late Eze Ndi Igbo of Zazzau as a goal getter, peace-builder

Chief Livinus Akahalu, President-General, Igbo Community Association, (ICA) has described the late Eze Ndi Igbo of Zazzau, Igwe Sir Unogu Vitus Ibe as a man of peace and goal getter during his lifetime.

Akahalu who was speaking to our Correspondant shortly after the burial ceremony of the royal father in Zaria said Igbo community will continue to miss the late igwe's stirling leadership quality.

He noted that the monarch has priotized peace, stability and unity of the Igbo community irrespective of the state one comes from.

According to him, the late Eze had always emphasis on bringing together Igbo sons and daughters under one umbrella as a source of strength while emphasizing the need to live peacefully with the host community for rapid economic development.

Akahalu recalled several moments when the late Eze will have to intervene to either settle or reconcile members of his race through fatherly advice or the might of wisdom to pave way for peace among the Igbos.

The President-General stated that the reverred father will continue to be greatly missed not only among Igbo community but the state and country at large.

He expressed appreciation for the great turn out witnessed during the burial ceremony and prayed God to repose the soul of the deceased.

The ICA President also enjoined Igbos to continue to uphold their norms, culture and tradition for the overall progress of the community.

He thanked the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani and the Emir of Zazzau,Amb. Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli for sending high representation to the laying ceremony.

Livinus Akahalu also expressed same gratitude to the State President-General of Igbo Community, other executives and members from different state and local government chapters that grace the moment of grief.
