NUHU BAMALLI POLYTECHNIC DEBUNKS FALSE SCHOLARSHIP CLAIMS

By Muazu Abubakar Albarkawa  The Management of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria has dismissed as “false, mischievous, and malicious” a social media publication alleging that Kaduna State Scholarship funds for students of the institution were not paid to beneficiaries.   In an official rejoinder signed by *Abdullahi Ibrahim Shehu*, Deputy Registrar, Information and Protocol, the Polytechnic said the claim was deliberately intended to “tarnish the reputation of the institution and mislead the public.”   According to the statement, Governor Uba Sani, CON, recently approved over one billion naira to the Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board, KSSLB, for domestic students. From Muazu Abubakar Albarkawa Zaria  The Court of Appeal sitting in Kaduna has dismissed an application for stay of execution filed by the counsel to Alhaji Mahmood Sani Sha’aban.  The application sought to suspend the judgment of a Kaduna State High Court which ordered the auction of certain assets belonging to Hon. Sani Sha’aban to settle a debt owed to Alhaji Umar Faruk Abdullahi, due to breach of terms. Earlier, the appellant’s counsel, Halima Fumilola Olodo, had filed the application seeking a stay of execution and an extension of time on the High Court’s judgment.  She argued that the court should allow her client the opportunity to repay the money himself, instead of granting the creditor permission to proceed with the auction of the assets. Her longtime friend, who has known her since childhood, recalled that Bello repeatedly complained of feeling as though something was “crawling” beneath her skin. She also displayed signs of intense fear and disorientation. At the time, neither her family nor friends fully understood the seriousness of her condition. The global finals took place in Shenzhen in China from 2nd - 5th June, 2026. A statement issued by Awwal Umar, Directorate of Public, ABU said the competitions were in the network, cloud, computing, and AI/innovation tracks.
