Christian Clergy applauds Fatima Tajuddeen Abbas foundation for Christmas support to vulnerable

Fatima Tajudeen Abbas Foundation has been applauded for extending Christmas and New Year support to Christian widows and orphans in Zaria, Kaduna State.

The annual outreach programe, has benefited thousands of vulnerable families, through the distribution of food items, clothing, and other essential materials aimed at easing hardship and promoting joy during the festive season.

Speaking on the gesture, the General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry, Pastor Dr. Yohanna Buru, praised the founder of the foundation, Hajiya Fatima Abbas Tajudeen, wife of the Speaker, House of Representatives for her unwavering commitment to humanitarian services every year.

He noted that the foundation has consistently placed widows and orphans at the center of its interventions.

In a statement issued by Pastor Dr. Buru expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a reflection of compassion, unity, and interfaith harmony.

He added that the initiative promotes tolerance and better understanding, peace and unity among the people of the state while enabling many families to celebrate Christmas and the New Year with dignity.

He also highlighted other humanitarian efforts of the foundation, including a recent medical outreach in Zaria that provided free healthcare services to more than 2,000 residents, as reported by DW Hausa, BBC Hausa and other media organizations.

Pastor Dr. Buru, who is a United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week award recipient by king Abdallah of Jordan,emphasized that supporting widows and orphans attracts divine blessings.

He urged individuals and organizations with resources to make the welfare of the less privileged a priority.

Other Christian leaders also welcomed the initiative. Pastor John George thanked the foundation for its continued support to Christian communities in Zaria and prayed for its growth and success.

He encouraged other non-governmental organizations to emulate the foundation’s example, noting that such efforts strengthen peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians in the state.

Similarly, Reverend Titus John and pastor David moses expressed gratitude to the foundation’s founder for her dedication to humanity and offered prayers for God’s continued guidance and blessings upon the organization.
