KADVS assures residents of safety during Christmas, New Year celebration

Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVS) has reassured residents of the state of its unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property throughout the Christmas and New Year festive period.
A statement, issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Service, Yunusa Shehu Ibrahim said the Commander, CP Ali D. Audu (Rtd.), stated that KADVS operatives have been strategically positioned across the state to ensure a peaceful and secure celebration.
The statement urged members of the public to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious persons, movements, or activities to KADVS operatives or the nearest security agency.
It said the Commander advised residents to exercise caution in crowded places such as markets, places of worship, motor parks, and recreational centres. He also warned against the use of fireworks, knockouts, and other dangerous items, especially by children and youths, noting the safety risks associated with such practices.
CP Audu stressed that security is a collective responsibility and urged all residents to cooperate with security personnel to ensure a peaceful, safe, and successful festive season across Kaduna State.
The Commander on behalf of Kaduna State Vigilance Service wishes all residents a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
