Hamisu Dabai, 2 others promoted to rank of Directors at NITT Zaria

The Minister of Transportation, has approved the promotion of three Deputy Directors to the rank of substantive Directors in the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT). 

The approval was conveyed a letter dated November 6, 2025.

The new Directors include Alhaji Hamisu Dabo Dabai who joined the services of the Institute in May 1997 as Accountant I and rose through the ranks.

He attended Ahmadu Bello University (ABU),and bagged a B.Sc. degree in Economics in 1990, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM, ABU 2000), ANAN Certificate (Jos, 2002), Postgraduate Diploma in Transport and Logistics (PGDTL, NITT 2004) and Master's in Transport & Logistics (MTL, NITT 2008).

During his years of service, Alhaji Dabai held several key positions including Head, Transport School (2018–2020), Head, SERVICOM (2020–2023),Head, Special Duties & Annexes (2023–2024) and Head, Training Department (2024–date).

Dabai is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear on his current rank as Director.

Others promoted to the rank were Barrister Yakubu Adamu Yakubu and Dr. Shehu Usman Gidado.

While congratulating the new Directors, Dr. Bayero Salih Farah,  Director General, NITT, tasked them to  justify the confidence reposed in them by providing purposeful leadership, upholding the Institute’s values, and contributing meaningfully to the attainment of NITT’s strategic objectives.

KADVS assures residents of safety during Christmas, New Year celebration

From Sadiq Mohd Zaria  Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVS) has reassured residents of the state of its unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property throughout the Christmas and New Year festive period. A statement, issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Service, Yunusa Shehu Ibrahim said the Commander, CP Ali D. Audu (Rtd.), stated that KADVS operatives have been strategically positioned across the state to ensure a peaceful and secure celebration. The statement urged members of the public to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious persons, movements, or activities to KADVS operatives or the nearest security agency. It said the Commander advised residents to exercise caution in crowded places such as markets, places of worship, motor parks, and recreational centres.
