Lawmaker unveils road project, pledges more infrastructure to constituents

Member representing Sabon gari federal constituency in kaduna state, Sadiq Ango Abdullahi has unveils a road project linking various communities in his constituent.

The road construction project will link Basawa community to Samaru in Sabon gari local government area.

Speaking at the unveiling of the project, the legislator who is also the Deputy Chairman House Committee on FERMA said the construction of the 3.7 kilometre road was long overdue due to its socio-economic significance to the communities.

He explained that when completed, the road will serve as a gateway to motorists travelling to neighbouring Katsina and Zamfara states.

"This road is one out of seven major road construction projects I initiated and captured in the 2025 appropriation budget.

"I want to assure you that the remaining.road, projects will also be executed in the shortest time possible.

"Other projects I facilitated which will also be executed in this year include construction and renovation of primary schools,.healthcare centres and boreholes." He said.

Abdullahi explained that the project were a spill over from the 2025 appropriation budget and shall be carried out beginning of this year.

While attributing paucity of funds to the cause of delay in the quick implemention of the projects, pledges that 2026 will be a better year in the provision of significant infrastructural development to the constituency.

In his remarks, the District head of Basawa, Arch Haruna Abubakar Bamalli while applauding the gesture said the road is very strategic and important to the residents of the two communities.

According to him, when completed, it will no doubt burst business and commercial activities across the area.

Arch Bamalli urged for speedy completion of the work to facilitate inflows of commercial vibrancy.
