Nuri-Tilawah School Receives Royal Blessing as Emir of Katsinan Gusau Visits Zaria
The Emir of Katsinan Gusau, Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello, has paid a historic visit to Nuri-Tilawah International School, Zaria, where he reaffirmed his commitment to advancing Qur’anic education and Islamic values in northern Nigeria.
The royal visit, which took place on Sunday, was described as a milestone in the history of the Qur’anic memorisation and Islamic studies centre.
Speaking at the event, the Director of the School, Sheikh Nuraddin Umar Tahir, expressed profound appreciation for the Emir’s visit, noting that the Katsinan Gusau Emirate has a long-standing legacy of scholarship, leadership, and service to Islam.
> “We are honoured but not surprised, because His Highness comes from a family rooted in knowledge and religious leadership,” he said.
Sheikh Tahir also extended condolences to the Emir over the passing of his late father and congratulated him on his emergence as the 16th Emir of Katsinan Gusau.
He acknowledged the continued support of notable personalities including, Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, Former Zamfara State Governor, Alhaji Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura and Other supporters and elders of the institution.
The director offered prayers for lasting peace and development in Zamfara and Sokoto States, and urged Muslims to remain committed to Qur’anic learning and moral upbringing.
In his remarks, Emir Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello thanked the school for the warm reception and encouraged the management to sustain its focus on Islamic values and character development.
He highlighted the transformative power of the Qur’an in shaping individuals and communities, and expressed willingness to strengthen the relationship between the Katsina-Gusau Emirate and the institution.
> “We will continue to support institutions like Nuri-Tilawah because they serve the future of our children and the progress of the Ummah,” the Emir stated.
